APARS - the Automotive Parts and Repair System was first developed to run on Burroughs mini-computers by an Australian software developer, TAKT Micro Systems Pty Ltd, in 1985.
Today, it is a completely modular software package for Spare Parts importers, wholesalers or retailers and for any mechanical Workshop and can be installed on PCs running Microsoft Windows or Linux*, or on Apple Macs* running OS/X. It consists of a number of modules which can be installed depending on a customer's requirements. Each module is separate but works together with all other modules to form a complete, integrated package. APARS includes modules for Importing, Warehousing, Wholesale and Retail parts sales, Workshop, Invoicing, Accounting and Payroll and incorporates an exclusive and easy-to-use Parts Catalogue.
